The 429th Electronic Combat Squadron was reactivated in September 1992 at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, equipped with EF-111A Raven electronic warfare aircraft under the System Improvement Program (SIP). The squadron specialised in electronic attack, jamming, and battlefield surveillance.

Following relocation to Cannon AFB in 1993, the 429th ECS became the USAF’s sole EF-111A Raven unit. The squadron deployed extensively in support of operations over the Balkans and Iraq, including long-term commitments to Operation Southern Watch.

The squadron was inactivated in June 1998 following the retirement of the EF-111A Raven.
