The Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) is one of the most technologically advanced air forces in the world. It has been responsible for the air defence of Japan since its establishment on 1 July 1954. Operating modern fighter, airborne warning, transport and reconnaissance aircraft, the JASDF plays a critical role in protecting Japanese airspace. It also supports security and humanitarian operations throughout the Pacific region.

The Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) is one of Asia’s most modern and capable air forces. Established on 1 October 1949 during a period of growing regional tension it expanded greatly during the Korean War. ROKAF undertook combat missions during the Korean War. Subsequently it has had to develop and improve ever since. ROKAF has grown into a technologically advanced air arm responsible for national air defence, regional security and allied operations.
Republic of Korea Air Force squadron patches, badges and aviation memorabilia reflect the evolution of South Korean military aviation. It has operated F-86 Sabre, F-5 Tiger II, F-4 Phantom II, KF-16 Fighting Falcon, F-15K Slam Eagle. In addition it is equipped with indigenous T-50 and FA-50 aircraft. The air force is internationally recognised for its advanced training, aerobatic display teams and participation in multinational exercises. Many insignia commemorate operational fighter wings, air bases, training units, anniversary events and specialised aviation missions.

ROCAF Patches Republic Of China Air Force Taiwan CNAF
The Republic of China Air Force (ROCAF) is one of Asia’s most experienced and strategically important air forces. ROCAF is responsible for the air defence of Taiwan. It was established in mainland China as the Chinese Nationalist Air Force CNAF in 1920. It participated in combat against Japanese Forces in WWII and against the People’s Liberation Army in the Chinese Civil War. ROCAF Relocated to Taiwan after being pushed out of mainland China during the Chinese Civil War. As a result of ongoing threats, the Air Force has developed into a highly capable modern air arm. Consequently the Air Force includes advanced fighter, reconnaissance and air defence aircraft.
Air Force squadron patches, badges and aviation memorabilia reflect the long and complex history of Chinese and Taiwanese military aviation. ROCAF has operated P-40 Warhawk, P-51 Mustang, F-86 Sabre, F-104 Starfighter, Mirage 2000, Indigenous Defense Fighter (IDF), F-16 Fighting Falcon. In addition it has flown numerous reconnaissance and transport aircraft. The the Air Force became especially well known during the Cold War for air defence operations and high-altitude reconnaissance missions.
