The Indian Air Force (IAF) is one of the largest and most experienced air forces in Asia , serving India since its establishment in 1932. The Indian Air Force has been active in conflicts including the Second World War the Cold War and the modern era. The Indian Naval Air Arm was established in 1948. It is a major component of India’s maritime defence capability.
