Turkish Stars aerobatic display team was established on 7 November 1992 from 132 Squadron of 3 Main Jet Base Command in Konya with seven NF 5 Freedom Fighter aircraft. The Turkish Stars name was made official on 11 January 1993 and carried out its first performance at Diyarbekir in 1994.

In 2001 the Turkish Stars increased its fleet to twelve aircraft allowing the Team to provide a unique eight ship supersonic jet demonstration display. The Team used CN 235 and C 130 Hercules for support replaced by a Transall C 160 aircraft in 2008.

This patch dates from the 1990s.
