Squadron History
3389 FTS SATP Flight Training Squadron Security Assistance Training Program was activated at Webb AFB Texas on 1 January 1973 assigned to 78 FTW Flying Training Wing equipped with T 37 Tweet aircraft tasked with pilot training for USAF and foreign allied pilot officers.
With end of the Vietnam War and subsequent reduced requirement for US pilots and the reduction in the Security Assistance Training Program 3389 FTS SATP was inactivated on 30 September 1977.
