93 Bombardment Wing at Castle AFB was the USAF primary B 52 crew training organisation and included Defensive Aerial Gunner Combat Crew Training School to train B 52 rear gunners with MD 9 radar controlled Quad 50s Miniguns and 20mm cannon systems. The School was inactivated in 1991 when rear guns were removed from the remaining B 52 fleet and rear gunners retasked.
