134 EFS Expeditionary Fighter Squadron was activated in October 2000 and deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base Saudi Arabia as part of a Rainbow ANG package composed of 134 111 and 177 Fighter Squadron under AEF Air Expeditionary Force 9 for Operation Southern Watch to enforce the UN no fly zone below the 32nd parallel north in Iraq.

134 FS is controlled by 158 Tactical Fighter Group. The Squadron was equipped with F 16 Fighting Falcon aircraft from 1986 to present.
