RAF Greenham Common, located in Berkshire, England, was a significant United States Air Force (USAF) base during the Cold War. While originally an RAF station, it became internationally known in the 1980s as a key site for the deployment of Ground Launched Cruise Missiles (GLCM) under NATO strategy.
