History  

HH 60G Division USAF Weapons School was activated at Nellis AFB Nevada on 7 July 1995 on the redesignation of the 1993 activated USAF Combat Rescue School of Nellis based 57 Wing as an instructional Division of USAF Weapons School equipped with HH 60 Pave Hawk helicopters for Combat Rescue Officer CRO Pararescuemen PJs and HH 60 helicopter pilot rescue training. 

The Divisions of the USAF Weapons School formally became squadrons on 3 February 2003 with each receiving the designation of a previously highly decorated notable inactivated unit. HH 60G Division USAF Weapons School was redesignated 34 Weapons Squadron after 34 Air Rescue Squadron.
