History 

HH 60G Combined Test Force Flight was activated at Nellis AFB on 1 October 2002 as part of Combat Search and Rescue Combined Test Force CSAR CTF assigned to 53 Test and Evaluation Group established to reduce CSAR equipment acquisition process by combining and integrating Air Force material Command AFMC and Air Combat Command ACC personnel to carry out Development Testing DT and Operational Testing OT of the HH 60G CSAR Personnel Recovery weapons platform and associated equipment and systems.

HH 60G Combined Test Force Flight was reassigned to 18 Flight Test Squadron on 1 October 2003 before returning to 53 Test and Evaluation Group on 3 April 2006.

HH 60G Combined Test Force Flight was redesignated 88 Test and Evaluation Squadron on 30 December 2009.
