Squadron History 

4300 Air Refueling Wing Provisional AREFW P formed in January 1991 at Diego Garcia Air Base British Indian Ocean Territories for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm to provide air refuelling support to 4300 Bombardment Wing Provisionals B 52 bombing operations from Diego Garcia. 

The Wing was inactivated on 28 February 1991.
