398 Operations Group and activated at Altus AFB Oklahoma on 1 June 1992 assigned to 340 Air Refueling Wing tasked with KC 135 Stratotanker aircrew training as the Aerial Refuelling Training School and Combat Crew Training School. 398 OPG was reassigned to 97 Air Mobility Wing on 1 October 1992 which itself was reassigned from Air Mobility Command to Twenty Second Air Force Air Reserve Command. 398 OG was inactivated on 31 March 1995.
