32 Squadron moved to Palestine in 1945 with Spitfires in the fighter role before moving again to Cyprus in 1948 and re-equipping with Vampires which were replaced by Venoms in 1955. The Squadron returned to RAF Weston Zoyland for re-rolling for tactical bombing and converting to Canberra bombers in January 1957 prior to relocating to Cyprus. On 3 February 1969 the Squadron disbanded in Cyprus.
The Squadron reformed on 4 February 1969 at RAF Northolt for VIP air transport on the renaming of the Metropolitan Communications Squadron operating a variety of aircraft including Andovers and Whirlwind helicopters.
