Squadron history 1988-1991
No II AC Army Cooperation Squadron carried out a reconnaissance role as part of RAF Germany based at RAF Laarbruch. The Squadron converted from Jaguar aircraft to Tornado GR1A aircraft in 1988 and took these from Germany to the Gulf War Operation Granby and Desert Storm 1990-1991. The Squadron returned from the Gulf War to RAF Marham in the UK later converting to the GR4A and taking part in campaigns since.
